How to mine Bytom

Bytom (BTM) is a blockchain platform for building peer-to-peer financial applications.

Feel free to check out the official website and block explorer to get more familiar with Bytom before continuing. You can also find a summary of Bytom metrics and other resources on our Bytom page.

1. Obtain suitable hardware

✅ Bytom can be efficiently mined with ASIC mining machines.

❌ Bytom cannot be efficiently mined with CPU or GPU cards.

View our Miners page to discover the most profitable devices for Bytom mining.

And don’t forget to check our Mining Hardware Tools page to download the necessary software for setting up your device.

2. Obtain a wallet address

You’ll need to get a wallet address if you don’t have one already. A Bytom wallet address is required for you to receive and monitor your mining revenue.

f2pool distributes mining revenues on a daily basis to every user who reaches the payout threshold, which is 5 BTM. f2pool’s payout scheme is 3% PPS.

We recommend the official wallet. After installing it, click Receive to get your new wallet address.

You can also choose an exchange, such as OKEx. Note: You should always do your own due diligence when choosing a wallet provider or exchange.

3. Configure your mining device

You’ll need to enter the following information in your mining device:

URL: stratum+tcp://btm.f2pool.com:9221

Username: miningAccountUsername.workerName

Password: Your choice

Please note

1. The list of f2pool mining pool servers is available here.

2. workerName is optional, but we recommend labeling each of your mining devices with a separate workerName for more efficient monitoring.

4. Start mining!

Your machines are now ready to mine!

As long as you’re submitting your hashrate successfully, you will receive payouts from f2pool.

To view your real-time Bytom payout records, visit the f2pool website and click the 🔍 icon in the top-right corner, select BTM, enter your wallet address, and click Go.

If you’re using the f2pool app, click the 👁 icon at the top-right corner of the main page and enter your Bytom address.
