How to mine DigiByte

DigiByte (DGB) is a fast, decentralized blockchain system that supports multiple-algorithm mining.

Miners can choose to mine using the Sha256d (available for BTC miners), Skein, Qubit, Odocrypt (FPGA), or Scrypt (available for LTC miners) algorithms.

Feel free to check out the official website and block explorer to get more familiar with DigiByte before continuing.

    1. Obtain suitable hardware

✅ DigiByte using the Sha256d, Scrypt, Skein, Qubit algorithms can be efficiently mined with ASIC mining machines.

✅ DigiByte using the Odocrypt algorithm can be efficiently mined with FPGA mining machines.

❌ DigiByte cannot be efficiently mined with CPU or GPU cards.

View our Miners page to discover the most profitable devices for DigiByte mining.

    2. Obtain a wallet address

You’ll need to get a wallet address if you don’t have one already. A DigiByte wallet address is required for you to receive and monitor your mining revenue.

f2pool distributes mining revenues on a daily basis to every user who reaches the payout threshold, which is 500 DGB. f2pool’s payout scheme is 5% PPS.

We recommend the official wallet. You can also choose an exchange, such as Binance or OKEx. Note: You should always do your own due diligence when choosing a wallet provider or exchange.

    3. Configure your mining device

You must use your f2pool mining account and your miner must be connected to one of the f2pool servers listed below for your hashrate and revenue to be recorded and monitored.

You’ll need to enter the following information in your mining device:

URL: An f2pool server URL for your algorithm

    Username: walletAddress.workerName

    Password: Your choice

    Pass:x

    Extra nonce:Do not select

    Priority: 0

    Please note

    1. The list of f2pool mining pool servers is available here, as well as in the table below. Please use the server for your chosen mining algorithm.

    2. workerName is optional, but we recommend labeling each of your mining devices with a separate workerName for more efficient monitoring.

    4. Start mining!

Your machines are now ready to mine!

As long as you’re submitting your hashrate successfully, you will receive payouts from f2pool.

To view your real-time DigiByte payout records, visit the f2pool website and click the 🔍 icon in the top-right corner, select DGB with the algorith you are mining, enter your wallet address, and click Go.

If you’re using the f2pool app, click the 👁 icon at the top-right corner of the main page and enter your DigiByte address.
