How to mine ImageCoin

ImageCoin (IMG) is a blockchain project for sending private images, messages, and data. ImageCoin is a fork of DASH and uses the same mining algorithm, X11. Machines that support DASH can also be used to mine ImageCoin, such as the Antminer D3 and D5, FusionSilicon X7, StrongU U6, and INNOSILICON A5 and A5+.

Feel free to check out the official website and block explorers to get more familiar with ImageCoin before continuing. You can also find a summary of Imagecoin metrics and other resources on our Imagecoin page.

1. Obtain suitable hardware

✅ ImageCoin can be efficiently mined with ASIC devices.

❌ ImageCoin cannot be efficiently mined with GPU or CPU devices.

View our Miners page to discover the most profitable devices for ImageCoin mining.

2. Obtain a wallet address

An ImageCoin wallet address is required to receive and monitor your mining revenue.

Mining revenue is distributed daily to every user who reaches the payout threshold of 20 IMG. Details about our payout method and fees can be found here.

You’ll need to get a wallet address if you don’t have one already. We recommend the official wallet. You can also choose an exchange, such as Hotbit. Note: You should always do your own due diligence when choosing a wallet provider or exchange.

3. Configure your mining device

Your miner must be connected to the f2pool server listed below for your hashrate and revenue to be recorded and monitored.

You’ll need to enter the following information in your mining device:

URL: stratum+tcp://img.f2pool.com:4400

Username: walletAddress.workerName

Password: Your choice

Please note

workerName is optional, but we recommend labeling each of your mining devices with a separate workerName for more efficient monitoring.

4. Start mining today!
