Quai Network is a high-throughput, scalable blockchain that utilizes the PoEM consensus mechanism, integrates a sharding architecture, and supports EVM smart contracts.
One of its native token, QUAI, uses the ProgPoW mining algorithm and supports GPU mining.
Quai mining information is available on the official website, block explorer, and our Quai page.
In this mining guide, we will walk you through the settings and process of mining Quai (QUAI) at f2pool.
1. Obtain suitable hardware
✅ QUAI can be efficiently mined with GPU cards.
❌ QUAI cannot be efficiently mined with ASIC/FPGA.
❌ QUAI cannot be efficiently mined with CPU cards.
2. Sign up for an f2pool account
You will need to create an f2pool account before mining Quai (QUAI). If you do not have one yet, please click here to register.
Setting an account name will be required for configuration. You are free to create multiple subaccounts to monitor your mining machines.
3. Obtain and add payout address
You will need to get a payout address to collect your mining rewards. You can add or change your payout address in your Payout Settings.
You can choose Pelagus as your wallet, or use a wallet from an exchange such as XT.com.
For Pelagus, install the Pelagus extension on Chrome and follow the setup steps to create a password and securely save your mnemonic phrase. Once your wallet is set up, open it, click the icon in the top right corner to switch to the Quai Network, and select Receive to view your wallet address.
Note: You should always do your own due diligence when choosing a wallet provider or exchange.
f2pool distributes mining rewards on a daily basis to every user who reaches the payout threshold, which is 1 QUAI. f2pool’s payout scheme is 1% PPLNS.
According to the Quai network mechanism, daily mining rewards are locked for 14 days (coinbase maturity period). During this period, they are recorded in Immature Revenue. Once matured, they are ready for payout upon reaching the threshold.
4. Configure mining software
SRBMiner and Rigel are some of the popular options for mining QUAI.
After you have downloaded your chosen mining software, uncompress it, find the start.bat
or start.cmd
file, right-click on it, and click Edit
.
Replace the file’s existing commands with the commands from the chart below that correspond to your chosen mining software, device and URL type.
Software | Commands (with TCP URL) | Commands (with SSL URL) | GPU Types |
---|---|---|---|
SRBMiner | SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm progpow_quai --pool quai.f2pool.com:6900 --wallet accountname.workername --send-stales true pause |
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm progpow_quai --pool quai.f2pool.com:6910 --wallet accountname.workername --send-stales true --tls true pause |
NVIDIA/AMD |
Rigel | rigel.exe -a quai -o stratum+tcp://quai.f2pool.com:6900 -u accountname -w workername pause |
rigel.exe -a quai -o stratum+ssl://quai.f2pool.com:6910 -u accountname -w workername pause |
NVIDIA |
In the commands above, please:
1) Replace accountname
with your f2pool account or subaccount name. Your accountname
is provided in your Account Settings.
2) Pick a name for your miner, for example, “001”, and replace workername
with it. workername
is optional, but we recommend labeling each of your mining devices with a separate workername
for more efficient monitoring. Workername can be a number, text, or a combination of both.
3) To separate accountname
and workername
, use a “.” as the delimiter. For example, if your account name is “oceanminer” and your worker name is “bigfish1”, you should write it as “oceanminer.bigfish1”.
Finally, save the start file and exit. Double-click the start file when you’re ready to start mining.
5. Monitor machine and reward
After your machine has been running for a few minutes, you can view its status and hashrate on the pool.
You can manage your account settings and monitor your hashrate, rewards and so on in your dashboard or in our f2pool app.
