Verge (XVG) utilizes anonymous hub networks to enable private transactions. At the same time, Verge supports multi-algorithm mining with Scrypt, X17, Lyra2rev2, MYR groestl, and Blake2S.
f2pool currently supports Verge mining with the Blake2S, Scrypt, and X17 algorithms.
Feel free to check out the official website and block explorer to get more familiar with Verge before continuing.
1. Obtain suitable hardware
✅ Verge Blake2S can be efficiently mined with ASICs, FPGA miners and GPUs.
❌ Verge Scrypt and X17 cannot be efficiently mined with GPUs and CPUs.
❌ Verge Blake2S cannot be efficiently mined with CPUs.
View our Miners page to discover the most profitable devices for mining Verge.
2. Obtain a wallet address
You’ll need to get a wallet address if you don’t have one already. A Verge wallet address is required for you to receive and monitor your mining revenue.
f2pool distributes mining revenues on a daily basis to every user who reaches the payout threshold, which is 200 XVG. f2pool’s payout scheme is 5% PPS.
We recommend the official Verge full node wallet. After installing it, click Receive to get your new wallet address.
You can also choose an exchange, such as Binance. Note: You should always do your own due diligence when choosing a wallet provider or exchange.
3. Obtain mining software
CCMiner, Claymore, and SGMiner are popular options for mining Verge with GPUs.
4. Configure mining software
After you have downloaded your chosen mining software, uncompress it, find the
start.cmd file, right click on it, and click
Replace the file’s existing commands with the commands from the chart below that correspond to your chosen mining software.
|Blake2S||Claymore (AMD & NVIDIA) for XVG + ETH||EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth.f2pool.com:8008 -ewal
|Blake2S||Claymore (AMD & NVIDIA) for XVG + ETC||EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool etc.f2pool.com:8118 -ewal
|Blake2S||SGMiner (NVIDIA)||ccminer-x64 -a blake2s -o stratum+tcp://xvg-blake2s.f2pool.com:9008 -u
|Blake2S||CCMiner (NVIDIA)||ccminer-x64 -a blake2s -o stratum+tcp://xvg-blake2s.f2pool.com:9008 -u
|X17||SGMiner (AMD)||sgminer.exe -k x17 -o stratum+tcp://xvg-x17.f2pool.com:9010 -u
|X17||CCMiner (NVIDIA)||ccminer-x64 -a x17 -o stratum+tcp://xvg-x17.f2pool.com:9010 -u
Include the following settings for SGMiner:
For all cases
You can choose to mine Verge only or Verge and Ethereum together.
For both cases, replace
wallet_address with your Verge wallet address and set a worker name.
If mining both Verge and Ethereum, replace
username with your f2pool account name. Any ETH you mine will be sent to your account. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to add an Ethereum address to your account to receive payouts. If you prefer, you can also replace
username with your Ethereum address to receive payouts.
Finally, save the start file and exit. Double-click the start file when you’re ready to start mining.
For ASIC mining using the Scrypt algorithm
You’ll need to enter the following information in your mining device:
Password: Your choice
workername is optional, but we recommend labeling each of your mining devices with a separate
workername for more efficient monitoring.
5. Start mining today!
Your machines are now ready to mine!
As long as you’re submitting your hashrate successfully, you will receive payouts from f2pool.
To view your real-time Verge payout records, visit the f2pool website and click the 🔍 icon in the top-right corner, select XVG, enter your wallet address, and click
If you’re using the f2pool app, click the 👁 icon at the top-right corner of the main page and enter your Verge address.
